Vintage Novel-teas!

Before leaving school at the end of year 11 I thought it only right to leave my form tutor of 3 years a novelty gift to remember me by. This was the final outcome:
Mr Pinto and The Brew Crew
So what are they? This is a set of 6 novelty tea bags which 'sit' in your mug with their 'arms' over the sides! I also purchased a mug form Dunelm Mill to go with the Earl Grey tea bags! I was initially inspired by House of Tea's creation called 'Afternoon Tea' which I thought would be suitable for my history loving form tutor, however these novelty bags will set you back a near £13 with delivery. So I attempted to make my own and I'm pretty chuffed with the end result!
Afternoon Tea by House of Tea

I used PowerPoint to create my 'artwork', giving 5 of the characters brown school uniform and the other a shirt and tie. The 5 school girls include myself and my closest friends at the school, the final character is my form tutor Mr Pinto!

If I could make a business out of these I definitely would! If you would like to know how to make these cute tea sets yourself leave a comment or if you'd like me to make a set especially for you just get in touch and I would be happy to do so!

Have a tea-riffic day! (Sorry for the awful puns!)

Updating the Record

Wow I haven't written on here for so long! My vintage collection is ever growing and I have finally got myself a record player!

Sony Turntable
It is totally basic but works an absolute treat considering it was my Granddad's! My parents have been kind enough to allow me to play their cherished vinyl records; which include the likes of Elvis Presley, Pink Floyd, ABBA and the Bee Gees!

I have been scouring charity shops to find my own records, so far I have accumulated Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beach boys, Pala and my own ABBA record. I am planning to buy an apple crate to keep them all in as I am positive my collection will continue to grow!

I would sincerely recommend getting one as they sound amazing, but it can be hard to resist the temptation to bounce around!

I am one step closer to that duke box!

Birthdays, Christmas and Dr Martens

Hello Everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, life has been pretty hectic with exams! But it is my birthday in 19 days on the 29th of November (yay!)- and this is sort of what this blog post is about! I have my list already comprised for both Christmas and my birthday! However some peole in the world will not be lucky enough to recieve the lovely gifts you and I are given- so I am planning to make a shoebox for Operation Christmas child. If you have not heard of the Samaritans Purse already it is a worthwhile organisation who collect  and send shoeboxes from all over the world to those who will not recieve a Christmas present.

All you have to do is wrap a shoebox is Christmassy paper, fill it with little gifts such as a teddy, colouring pencils, action figures and more! The link for their site can be found here with all the details you need to create your own shoebox for a less fortunate child! (http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/how-to-pack-your-shoebox)

I'm sure you all have a list for your Christmas prezzies and I'd love to here what you've asked Santa for! One of the top things on my list are a pair of Dr Martens! If you don't know what I'm talking about you sure will soon! I have spent hours on the site choosing a pair and have wittled it down to four!

THE TOP FOUR  (in no particular order as I can't decide!)

Three patterns,Two boots, Two shoes and only One can be chosen.
Pretty please could everyone give me a comment on what ones they think I should choose as I am perhaps the most indecisive person ever!

Along with my exams at the moment I have been working on my Graphics GCSE project where I am making a set of 4 kinetic greetings cards! It is such a fiddly job but I am so proud with how they're looking- here is a little sneek peak!

The Polaroid camera 'prints' the photo and the bird is able to 'fly' out of the cage! I have two more to make so will update you all when I have finished!

Enjoy your weekend everyone don't forget to leave a comment!

Please please please do leave a comment as I love hearing from people who actually take the time to read my ramblings!
